Students of klezmer music will learn much from this survey of Moldovan/klezmer musical relations by Peter Lippman. Taking as his basis my 2016 monograph (Klezmer: Music, History and Memory), five of my earlier and later articles, and early research by Beregovski and Lipaev, Lippman has found the connecting narrative thread between these many sources that will help musicians and scholars reach the essence of these vital cultural issues.
